Job Description

NOW HIRING: Quality Control Inspector

Conroe, TX
First Shift
Pay Range: $18–$20/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to support and enforce best practices related to product quality and manufacturing processes. In addition to strong technical skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and take pride in producing quality work .


Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform visual receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products conform to work orders

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports, recording actual dimensional measurements using measuring tapes and diameter tapes

  • Measure male and female threads, including National Pipe Tapered (NPT threads) using thread micrometers

  • Record and report non-conforming products to the Plant Manager for rework

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality control procedures

  • Verify completed orders meet sales order requirements prior to shipment

  • Identify opportunities for quality improvements and implement new methods with the Plant Manager

  • Provide training support as needed

  • Manage calibration activities

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across departments


Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Quality Control role

  • Experience in ductile and/or steel pipe industry is highly preferred

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus


Preferred Skills

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is an advantage

  • Proficient with measuring tools: measuring tapes, diameter tapes, thread micrometers

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong record-keeping and organizational skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality standards

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of ductile or steel pipe is a plus
