Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MigWelder specializing in MIG and Rollout welding techniques to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welds on various metal components, ensuring adherence to safety standards, technical specifications, and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive construction site experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with a range of welding and fabrication tools. Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on piping, and structural components following detailed blueprints and schematics.
  • Execute rollout welding techniques with precision, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently.
  • Conduct rigging and crane operations safely when positioning materials or assemblies for welding or installation.
  • Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks to support manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites and manufacturing floors.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and meet project deadlines.

Skills

  • Proven experience in construction sites with a strong understanding of site safety protocols.
  • Expertise in MIG welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including ductwork installation and pipe threading.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing welding practices.
  • Strong skills in basic math for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments. This position requires a detail-oriented approach combined with energetic engagement to ensure high-quality welds that meet rigorous safety standards.
