Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our team. The Plasma Table Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC plasma cutting machines to produce high-quality metal parts according to technical specifications. This role requires a keen understanding of metalworking, precision cutting, and machine operation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Operate CNC plasma cutting tables to cut metal parts from various materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) based on design specifications.
- Load, unload, and secure metal sheets on the plasma table, ensuring proper alignment.
- Monitor machine performance during operations and adjust settings as necessary for optimal results.
- Programming and Setup:
- Program and configure the CNC plasma cutting machine for specific jobs using software such as [list relevant software, e.g., AutoCAD, CAM].
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to program cutting paths, speeds, and other relevant machine settings.
- Set up materials for cutting, ensuring the correct material thickness, size, and type are used for each job.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the required dimensions and quality standards.
- Perform routine checks on the plasma table to ensure it is properly calibrated and maintain consistent cutting accuracy.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replacing consumables (nozzles, electrodes) and cleaning the machine.
- Safety and Maintenance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to minimize machine downtime.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with other team members, including engineers, designers, and supervisors, to ensure efficient production schedules and timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including machine settings, material usage, and job completion times.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
