Job Description

Seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and process payroll for over 1,500 employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and audit employee records to ensure accurate payment of wages for 1,500+ hourly and salaried employees in multiple states on a bi-weekly basis

• Update and maintain employee records within software for taxes, earnings and deductions

• Print and distribute payroll checks and direct deposit advices

• Assist with assurance of compliance with federal and state laws and regulations

• Research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding employee records

• Analyze and test system modifications related to payroll processes

• Reconcile payroll deductions and bank accounts to the corresponding general ledger accounts and create necessary journal entries

• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing

• Ensure adherence to internal controls and provide necessary documentation to internal and external auditors

• Other duties as assigned

• Will have to be able to travel for training purposes

Qualifications:

• Associates degree and 3+ years of experience in payroll administration preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Highly organized, detail-oriented team player with ability to analyze and solve problems

• Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines

• Proficient in Excel

• PeopleSoft experience

Payrate--$18-$27 / DOE
