Job Description

Staffing Texas is looking for a manual lathe machinist in the Willis area:

Duties:
- Set up and operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Use precision measuring instruments, such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines, to ensure parts meet specifications
- Select and install appropriate tooling for each job
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Assemble and weld components as needed
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and minimize waste

Qualifications:
- Experience operating manual machining equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
