Ground Hand
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Ground hand to support forge shop operations. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, assisting with various production tasks, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain cleanliness of the work area

Blow scale from dies, pots, and floors; lubricate tools

Wear and enforce use of PPE at all times

Assist the Forge Crew and follow direction from the Blacksmith

Learn standard tools and practices to support production efficiency

Perform physical tasks: standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), 8–12 hours per day

Adhere to a no-cell-phone policy on the shop floor

Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math

Forklift experience a plus

Physically fit to work in a high-heat, noisy industrial environment
