Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working General Laborer to join our forge shop team. This role involves supporting forging operations by performing a variety of manual tasks in a high-heat, industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in extreme temperatures, have strong attention to safety, and be willing to learn and grow within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist forge operators, press operators, and blacksmiths with daily tasks.
Load and unload materials and tools to and from forging machinery.
Position raw materials and parts on equipment or work surfaces.
Remove finished parts from forging presses and transport to designated areas.
Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
Inspect products for defects or irregularities.
Operate basic shop equipment such as hoists, grinders, and saws under supervision.
Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support other departments as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Working Conditions:
- Exposure to extremely high temperatures near furnaces and hot metal.
- Noisy, physically demanding environment requiring standing for long periods.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Exposure to hot metal, sparks, dust, and lubricants.
