Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Contract Cost Accountant position in the Brenham area. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a passion for financial analysis.

Duties for the Cost Accountant

Collect and analyze data to determine the costs of business activities
Support both AP and AR functions regularly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Assist with month-end closing activities
Conduct account analysis and provide recommendations for improvement

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
Minimum of 2 years experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the JD Edwards system is preferred
Must be able to work in-office 2 to 3 days a week
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
