Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, is safety-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and other mechanical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with company and government safety standards.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and report major repair needs to supervisors.
- Order necessary parts and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Respond to breakdowns or emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working as a diesel mechanic (or apprenticeship completion).
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized maintenance systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
- ASE Diesel Certification is a plus.
- The ability to lift heavy equipment and parts (up to 75 lbs), and work in varying conditions.

Work Environment:

Job Requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair with a strong understanding of hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass background and motor vehicle report checks
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are advantageous.
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certification programs as required by the employer.
