Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers at the parts counter and over the phone, helping them identify and purchase the correct parts for construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service while maximizing parts sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts for various types of heavy equipment.
  • Accurately look up parts using manufacturer catalogs, online databases, and internal systems.
  • Process parts orders, returns, and warranties in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and equipment knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely parts availability for equipment repairs.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels; assist with stock replenishment and receiving parts.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, including contractors, mechanics, and fleet managers.
  • Upsell complementary parts and accessories to enhance customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts counter and work area.
  • Participate in ongoing product training and manufacturer certifications as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in equipment or mechanics is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in parts sales, preferably in construction or industrial equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed (lift up to 50 lbs).
  • Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Previous or current experience with a parts department.
  • Must possess strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
